How We Pick
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This page explains how SAT decides which products to recommend, and what our recommendations are and are not.
What we consider
Depending on the product, a recommendation may consider:
- how useful the product is for its intended use
- its specifications and features
- build and material quality
- customer feedback, where it is available
- value for money
- the typical price range in India
- brand reputation
- competing alternatives
Research, not testing
Our recommendations are based on research: maker and retailer information, specifications and published customer feedback. We do not claim to have personally tested a product unless a page clearly says so.
If we start hands-on testing in the future, we will mark clearly which products were tested, and keep those separate from products we only researched.
What you will not find here
We do not publish made-up ratings, made-up reviews or made-up testing claims. If we could not confirm something, we say so.
Prices
Prices change often. We show typical price ranges, not live prices. Check the retailer for the latest price.
Corrections
