Amazon links on this page are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. How we earn

Last reviewed:

Nothing on this page has a case between 40 mm and 47.78 mm. Four watches measure 40 mm or less (35, 38, 39.7 and 40 mm) and five measure 47.78 mm or more, up to 55.8 mm, so the choice is a smaller case or a larger one, with no middle size. Every catalogue watch listed under ₹1,000 is here, whatever the brand. As the lowest band it carries nothing over from cheaper tiers: all nine sit strictly inside it, six from Sonata and three from Fastrack. Quartz movement and 30 m water resistance are listed on every one, so those two lines will not help you choose; strap material, gender label and display type will. SAT earns a commission if you buy through its Amazon links.

Who this page is for

The Fastrack Tees 68011PP08 and NG38003PP08W are the two Tees models on this page. The 68011PP08 has a 50 mm case on a grey silicone-rubber strap; the NG38003PP08W has a 55.8 mm plastic case on a red plastic strap. Both are listed as unisex, quartz and 30 m water-resistant, with India as the country of origin. Choosing between them comes down to 5.8 mm of case size and a strap of silicone rubber or plastic.

Men and women

The brand split decides the labels. All three Fastracks are unisex-listed, so they appear under both Men and Women, while Sonata uses all three labels: three women's-only, two men's-only and one unisex-listed. The men's-only pair is the Sonata Essentials NM77082SL01W, a 38 mm analog on black leather, and the Sonata Quartz Analog NS77085PP09W, a 52.15 mm analog on grey polyurethane. The Sonata SF Hexa NT77123PP01 is the only watch that is not a Fastrack and still appears under both labels.

Brands in this price range

Sonata has six of the nine watches, with case sizes from 35 to 52.15 mm. Its straps are polyurethane on three, leather on two and stainless steel on one, and the SF Hexa NT77123PP01 is the only digital watch on the page, listing an alarm, a stopwatch and a light. Fastrack has three, all unisex-listed and all analog, at 40, 50 and 55.8 mm, on two plastic straps and one silicone-rubber strap. Sonata is the only brand here with a leather or stainless steel strap.

Buying advice

Pick a case-size group and a strap material first, then read what is left. Dial colour is the detail to treat with care: the Sonata NS77085PP09W and the SF Hexa give none, and all three Fastrack listings name different colours in different parts of their text, so confirm it on the Amazon page. Water resistance will not separate these nine, since all list 30 m, and the Sonata NT8151SM05 listing says it is not suitable for swimming or bathing. How to choose a watch shows how to read the size and water-resistance lines. If nothing here suits, Watches under ₹2,000 is the next tier up.

Common questions

How many of these watches list a round case?

Seven of the nine list a round case. The exceptions are the Fastrack NS38037PP07 (40 mm), listed with a contemporary-shaped case, and the Sonata SF Hexa NT77123PP01 (48.8 mm), listed with an oval one.

Can I find a warranty period on all nine listings?

No. Eight give a period: 6 months on the Fastrack NS38037PP07 and NG38003PP08W and the Sonata SF Hexa; one year or 12 months on the Fastrack 68011PP08 and the Sonata 87049PP11W, NS77085PP09W and NT8151SM05; 24 months on the Sonata NM77082SL01W. The Sonata NT87030PL04W states none.

Is mineral glass named on any of these listings?

Yes, on two: the Sonata NM77082SL01W (38 mm, brass case, silver dial) and the Fastrack NS38037PP07 (40 mm, plastic case). Both are among the four smaller cases. The other seven listings do not name a glass type.

Which Sonata listings state a dial colour?

Four of the six do: silver on the NM77082SL01W and 87049PP11W, black on the NT87030PL04W and white on the NT8151SM05. The Sonata NS77085PP09W and the SF Hexa NT77123PP01 give no dial colour.
